Become a Mentor
Help Create More Global Citizens
Mentors play a critical role in shaping each Avandra Foundation Impact Journey. They provide guidance, model responsible global engagement, and support cohort members throughout the preparation and travel experience.
This is not a tourism role; it's a leadership commitment. Mentors help ensure that every journey is safe, structured, culturally respectful, and aligned with the Foundation’s mission.
The Role of Impact Journey Mentors
Impact Journey mentors are expected to:
Guide participants during pre-departure preparation sessions
Model responsible, culturally aware travel
Support participants during volunteer engagement
Provide leadership and conflict navigation when needed
Uphold program standards and safety protocols
Mentors travel alongside the cohort and serve as both facilitators and steady anchors throughout the experience.
What’s Involved in Impact Journey Mentorship?
Mentorship is a service-based leadership role grounded in responsibility and accountability.
Our Impact Journey mentors commit to:
2–3 pre-departure cultural preparation sessions
Full participation in the Impact Journey
Post-trip debrief and reporting
